WOYWW 164

It is Wednesday again, and time to visit the homes of my blogland friends, thanks to Julia at Stamping Ground who kindly hosts this weekly snoopfest. Not wanting to miss out on my weekly fun, here is an honest photo of my workdesk today. Yep! That's right. It's empty, except of course for Baggins who likes it this way, because he can sprawl out in the stream of air coming from the big floor fan behind him. I was out all day yesterday (Our first ever visit to IKEA, and what an experience that was!), and I am out for a large part of today, so crafting has been minimal and I can only offer you  this unexciting view. But I will be later to visit you all, and hopefully make a start on a couple of cards that are only in my mind at the minute. Have a good Wednesday everyone.

  7. Happy WOYWW. Gorgeous Baggins - looks nice and cool there. Ikea - haven't been for years (used to literally live in there when I had a very different life in the West Midlands!), and often hell on earth (plus you go in for a chest of drawers and come out with a car full of 'things'!). An IKEA virgin, huh? Haven't been to one for years, they're quite fun. Bet you didn't escape without buying anything!!

  15. Why, hello Baggins from Socks the cat! Desks, be they empty or full, are intended for the sole purpose of laying upon by our four-pawed friends! A very happy WOYWW from Victoria no.25

  17. Well, Kate, I would never say a desk with a kitty on it could be described as unexciting! I must say he looks very relaxed. Usually the kitties aren't allowed in my ARTHaven because Beatrice is even nosier than the WOYWWers and that's saying something! She's into everything, rummaging, pulling things out... But it's much too hot to have the door shut, and even with everything open it's the hottest room in the house. I HATE this weather - bring back the cool days (if not the rain) - it's completely sapping my strength.

I've had to put the flowers on hold this week and concentrate on butterflies instead. My hubby reminded me we've got an 80th at the weekend and no card made yet!! I made a good start last night designing in Inkscape, and cutting today - yesterday I cut some butterflies with great difficulty as Sheba, my Cougar cutter, hated the dense watercolour paper, but someone on the forum suggested dampening the paper and it cut like butter!! Wow. This p.m. I inked the butterflies and background and am quite pleased!

Have a great week, and happy WOYWW,
